100 Marketers You MUST Follow on Twitter

If you haven’t already seen my previous post about 100 SEO blogs you should subscribe to, make sure you check it out.  In this collection, I wanted to highlight a number of marketers who really stand out from the crowd and do an outstanding job of engaging on Twitter.  In this list I wanted to not only highlight some of the big-time super marketers out there, but also marketers that are up and coming.

I encourage everyone to leave at least 1 marketer that is not on this list, that you suggest we all follow on Twitter.  Make sure you mention their Twitter handle so we can easily follow them : )  On with the list (in no specific order)…

1.  Mari Smith (@marismith)

I never met Mari in person, but I feel like I know her personally just from watching her videos on Social Media Examiner.  Mari is an upbeat marketer who is very knowledgeable and an expert in Facebook Marketing.  She co-wrote the book Facebook Marketing: An Hour a Day.  If you are looking to find ways to leverage Facebook for your business, definitely follow her!


2.  Scott Stratten (@unmarketing)

I had the personal honor of watching Scott speak as the opening keynote for Blog World Expo 2010 and I must say I was blown away.  Scott is truly passionate about social media and is extremely influential on Twitter.  If you want to see the right way to engage on Twitter, watch Scott tweet. Scott also wrote a book titled UnMarketing which I strongly recommend you go and buy.

3.  Andy Beal (@andybeal)

Andy is THE authority in Online Reputation Management. He runs the popular Marketing Pilgrim blog, wrote the book Radically Transparent and also developed the ORM tool called Trackur.If you want to learn more about how to manage your brand online, follow Andy.

4.  Rand Fishkin (@randfish)

It’s hard to not know who Rand is if you are an Internet Marketer.  Personally I feel that Rand is the top thought-leader in the SEO space.  He is the co-founder of SEOmoz, a leading SEO company that has shifted it’s focus from the service-based model to developing innovative SEO tools/products.Make sure you follow Rand and his popular blog for great insights and content in the search industry.


5.  Kristi Hines (@kikolani)

How could I leave a fellow StayOnSearch blogger off this list?  But in all seriousness, Kristi is one of the best bloggers and social media experts in our industry.  She not only writes regularly for this blog, but for Social Media Examiner, Search Engine Journal, Famous Bloggers, and oh…did I forget her personal blog Kikolani?


6.  David Risley (@davidrisley)

David is one of those guys that makes a 6 figure income from blogging.  I saw him speak at Blog World this year and learned more about who David is and his 6 month training course called Blog Mastermind Club and newest project called The Inner Circle.If you are learning how to blog and make money online, take it from a guy that has been doing it for a decade.


7.  Clay Collins (@claycollins)

Clay is famous for teaching people how they can make money online and stop worrying about money and start enjoying the things you love to do.  He also is the creator of the Pre-Sell Formula.


8.  Jeff Walker (@jeffwalker)

Jeff Walker is a famous marketer and product launch expert.  He is most known for his Product Launch Formula where he teaches you his formula for launching a successful product. For anyone that is looking to promote a product launch the right way, make sure you start following Jeff.


9.  James Dyson (@jamesdyson)

He may not be the most active person on Twitter among this list, but James is an amazing marketer worth following.  He has created a number of outstanding products including the hot WordPress theme called OptimizePress.Make sure you check out his site and the other products he has created.


10.  Sid Savara (@sidsavara)

I had the pleasure of meeting Sid at Blog World Expo this year and one thing I can say is that he is not shy (in a good way).  He has made it a goal to interview the top authorities in the IM niche.  His blog, BlogCastFM is growing rapidly and features some great podcast interviews with people like Yaro Starak,  BlogCastFM has also launched a premium membership where you can exclusive podcast content from the biggest markets on the web.


11.  Rob Rammuny (@robrammuny)

Recently I have had the opportunity to get to know Rob over the last few months.  For only being 16, I must say that his is a well polished marketer!  Rob has a blog that he updates regularly called Rob’s Web Tips, where he gives you great marketing tips and advice.Make sure you keep up with Rob as he is making some big moves in the industry.


12. Onibalusi Bamidele (@dataentryforall)

Ok, i’ll be honest, I have no idea how to properly pronounce his name, but Onibalusi is an amazing blogger and marketing entrepreneur for only being 16.  He is very active in Twitter and makes a concise effort to leave honest and value-added comments on other blogs in the industry.  Make sure you check out his blog over at Youngprepro.com.

13.  Jonathan Volk (@jonathanvolk)

If you are looking to make money online, Jonathan Volk is your man.  Jonathan has been making a six figure income online for years through affiliate marketing.  He also has a popular Facebook Ads product, where he takes you through his secrets to making money using the Facebook Ad platform.Make sure you check out his blog, where he contributes a lot of his knowledge and experience in Internet Marketing.


14.  Ryan Deiss (@ryandeiss)

Ryan is the king at producing highly profitable Internet Marketing product launches.  On top of his product launches like the Perpetual Traffic Formula and Profit Diary , he also is a super-affiliate, making hundreds of thousands of dollars off affiliate marketing tactics.


15.  Zac Johnson (@moneyreign)

Zac is another super affiliate who has been making a full time income through his popular blog, ZacJohnson.com and marketing affiliate products.  He has built a following of close to 16k RSS subscribers and continues to provide excellent tips and internet marketing advice through his blog.If you want to learn how to build traffic and make money online, Zac is an excellent resource.


16.  Tyrone Shum (@tyroneshum)

For marketers who are looking for tips and resources they can use to help outsource time-consuming tasks, Tyrone is your guy.  He uses a lot of video to help show how he utilizes virtual assistants to free up more of his time so that he can focus on the higher level tasks and direction he is taking his company.  His blog is jam packed with highly valuable content, so make sure you check it out.


17.  John Chow (@johnchow)

John Chow has become famous among the Internet Marketing industry, for being able to earn over $40,000/month from his blog.  John is an expert internet marketer and has years of experience in lead generation, blogging, email marketing, and affiliate marketing.He speaks at many of the industry conferences and contributes to JohnChow.com regularly.


18.  Yaro Starak (@yarostarak)

Yaro is probably my favorite up and coming blogger.  He has been blogging for years at Entrepreneurs Journey and he really making a name for himself.He claims to be making over $20,000/month from his blog, from only having to work 2 hours a day.  From reading Yaro’s blog and listening to his podcasts, he seems like a truly driven marketer and an overall nice guy.


19.  Jeremy Schoemaker (@shoemoney)

Jeremy truly has a rags to riches success story, earning ten’s of thousands of dollars a month through his blog, affiliate marketing, and product launches.  I have personally gone through the Shoemoney System 2.0 course, which covers everything about making money online including Facebook Ads, eBay, Product Launches, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, and lots more.Jeremy actually practices what he preaches and has made a ton of money online!


20.  Alan Bleiweiss (@alanbleweiss)

Alan is a knowledgeable SEO, who is very active in his community on sites like Sphinn and Search Engine Journal.  Make sure you check out his Search Engine Wisdom blog!

21.  Cindy King (@cindyking)

I met Cindy for the first time at Blog World Expo (who came all the way from Paris!).  Cindy is currently active with her personal blog, and is managing editor of my favorite blogs, Social Media Examiner.She has years of experience in blogging, social media, and international business/sales.


22.  Gideon Shalwick (@gideonshalwick)

Gideon has really shown marketers how easy it can be to produce high-quality videos for the internet.  Between his blog and his new training series, RapidVideoBlogging, Gideon walks you through step-by-step how you can leverage video to help market your personal and professional brand online. 

23.  Lee Odden (@leeodden)

Lee is the CEO of TopRank Marketing based out of Minneapolis, MN.  I met Lee at Blog World this year and I was extremely honored to have the opportunity to chat with him at one of the networking events.  Lee is an extremely passionate online marketer who knows what he is talking about when it comes to SEO, Social Media and producing killer content.

David or “The Gypsy”, is a well-known SEO who is active on his popular blog The Firehorse Trail, the SEO Dojo, and contributions to other industry related blogs/forums.


25.  Dave Navarro (@rockyourday)

Dave is an expert product launch coach, who has years of experience in content development and product launches.  Dave has a blog where he provides free tips and resources on how you can get more people to buy what you are selling.  He also has a number of workshops where he he covers everything you need to know about bringing in more buyers to your business.

27.  Jay Baer (@jaybaer)

Steve is a SEO, Web Developer, Entrepreneur and founder of AM Multimedia a Web Design company based out of Ontario.  Steve has been a loyal Twitter follower, who loves spending other people’s content via Twitter.  I highly recommend following him : )

33.  Glen Alsopp (@viperchill)
