Some of you may have already noticed, but Twitter announced yesterday that they will be rolling out a new user interface.  They will be pushing the new interface to a select test group initially, and then to the entire community over the next few weeks.  This is one of the biggest announcements from Twitter since it’s creation in 2006.

Twitter CEO, Even Williams (@ev), recently tweeted:

Today we’re launching a new Twitter.com—a faster, easier, and richer way to discover what’s new in your world. #NewTwitter

Here is a just released screen-shot of what the new interface will look like.

The goal of the new interface is to provide speed, efficiency and a richer user experience.  One of the biggest additions to the new interface is the image and video integration from right within Twitter.com.  Now you will be able to view images and videos from places like DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Vimeo, yfrog, and YouTube, without every leaving your Twitter profile.
