Blog commenting has been and still is, an effective link building technique…when done right. Simply running a piece of software that blasts out irrelevant comments to 1,000’s of blogs will just piss off a bunch of blog owners and/or HURT your rankings. Especially with the Google Panda update, Google is really placing more emphasis on domain quality!
Here are some quick tips on Effective Blog Commenting
- Use a mixture of NoFollow and DoFollow blogs to make your link building look more natural
- Be consistent and build links on a on-going basis
- Find blogs that are relevant to your niche
- Write a comment that is targeted and specific to what the blog post is talking about – add value
