Building backlinks to your website or blog is essential for high search engine rankings. That’s why I have been testing a number of different tactics and strategies to build backlinks effectively and efficiently.
I started testing out Fiverr.com for finding cheap but quality link building services. If you are unfamiliar with Fiverr, this is a website where people will do all sorts of things for five dollars. You can find anything from design services, to voice-overs, idea generation and you can even have a guy sing a song to you while doing pushups!
What I did was a search for “link building” on Fiverr and found LOTS of people and businesses providing link building services for only $5!
I was able to find all types of link building – social bookmarking, directory submissions, link wheels, press release syndication, etc… One great thing about Fiverr is that you can review feedback on each of the different people who are offering their services. Before I decided to move forward with any of these services, I made sure they had positive feedback.
So after I narrowed down the list to about 5-10 offerings, I decided to test them out. I placed an order, gave them the specifics for URLs and keywords and within 2-3 days (varies) I would have a link building report sent to me from the person offering the service.
A few caveats I have found from using this method is the fact that you have little control over the actual link building. Since more often than not, you haven’t worked with these vendors before, so you are not sure of the quality of their services.
I also noticed that I was hoping to customize a few of the services they provide (like using multiple phrases for the anchor text), however usually is what it is. I guess for $5 you can’t complain.
What I love about this link building method is how fast you can get things going. It took me less than 20 minutes to get link building started on 10 sites. I can always scale this up if I need to to accommodate as many sites has I want to have links built for.
Once you find a number of link building services that you like, you can start directly communicating with them through email or chat. At this time you could you could discuss working closer together and to customize your link building based on your needs.
The best part about it is its cheap! Even if the service you were provided was terrible…you are only out $5.
Hello this new site unlike fiverr has 5 day cash out to Paypal and jobs ranging from 5,10,15,20,50 and 100 dollars Unlike most other sites we only take a 10% commission Free To Join http://www.iwill4.com
Hello, I really like your site and has to say that I tried some of the fiverrs gigs but my favourite seller is xrumer_seo. He always adds new gigs like his linkwheels and his Backlink Pyramid and his reports are just amazing. So I really can recommend him as it is really the best and cheapest seo service on fiverr. He helped me to rank with 2 sites in top 5 and 3 sites in top 10
I think as long as you are building links within reason, you should be ok. As long as you don't go crazy and build like 30k links overnight, you won't get penalized. The way I look at it is that a competitor or blackhat guy could penalize his competitors and build thousands of links overnight if it actually impacted the results. Of course, quality and high PR backlinks are really what will help boost your rankings. Fiverr links are not necessarily going to be sources for High value links, but can be a start to your link profile.
Hey Mark, I found this great blog compiling all fiverr alternatives: http://fiverralternative.blogspot.com/ You never know you might find some 'golden nugget' there ;) My recent post Fiverr alternative
I have often thought of paying others to build links for some of my sites. However I've never done it because I've always worried about the quality of what they're going to do. I mean, a company can say that it's not using mass submission, etc, then go out and do it anyway. This seems to be one of the best ways to do it. You're working with individuals who get rated by other individuals.
Yeah fiverr is ok for backlinking if you look hard enough you can find one or two gems i have a couple gigs on fiverr myself. It is also a nice way to be able to make a little side stream of income. I some other gigs on there but i always do my own backlinks ensuring quality over quantity. Best Do Follow Backlinks
I've used Fiverr for a few small things and the results are usually ok. I don't think I would be one to use it for my link building options though, I need a little more specific control over things. My recent post Visual Keyword Research Tools You Should Be Using
I am new with Fiverr! But as I see it, it's with complete package having social bookmarking, directory submissions, link wheels, press release syndication, etc . Like @coleman, I gonna have to try it too. Thanks for the post.
I have gotten some catalog submission done from fiver, and it was done quick and good. It was probably a auto submission tool. For 5$ is ok, but I doubt it had any special seo value.
I just never took the push to use anything on that site..but I'm willing to give it a try and see what happens.. "Black Seo Guy "Signing Off" My recent post Stop Wasting Money Advertising
How about using fiverr to get links (probably lower quality) to pages that link to your site? That way you do not risk your site directly. My recent post Air Compressor Reviews
Yes, the ONE thing that sucks about Fiverr, is the lack of control. Usually people on fiverr have a system of software in place to do the task quickly, so you don't have a lot of customization in your order. However if you need to drive some quick links to possibly some Web 2.0, articles submission or press releases it can do a great job. Still good to check it out, because sometimes you can find a diamond in the rough...for only $5!
Deucerr.com was launched today offering micro-jobs a/k/a Gigs of all types from the funny to the bizarre from the sexy to the technical. Deucerr.com is a micro jobs site like Fiverr.com but it’s FREE for both buyers and sellers. Unlike Fiverr.com where sellers have to pay a commission of 20% per sale plus transaction fees, Deucerr.com charges no commission only a nominal transaction fee to cover the costs of PayPal, so it’s FREE safe and secure. Deucerr.com is providing a much needed forum that is safe and secure where people whether full time or part time can make money. Deucerr.com anticipates that thousands of gigs will be delivered each and every day. Making money on Deucerr.com will be seamless, there are sellers already making $100 or more per day.
Thanks for the recommendation Chris. That is nice for the consumer that they are not having to pay any fees besides the Paypal transaction fees. I assume that will change as traffic grows :-)
