I could write a 100 page document on how estimating the value of a website has nothing to do with tools like cubestat... This could be a nice discussion for something like "blogchat"...
Maybe i'll see another post soon on how to properly evaluate a website's worth, and how & where to sell it.
Cheers

Your site is worth what someone will actually pay for it. Unless someone actually coughs up the amount it's just heresay. Fun to consider though:)

These are all good ways to get an indication but when it comes down to it it's the same as a house. Like you said, the site worth can vary drastically between valuation sites, so that is always just a good place to start. I would go on places like Flippa.com and see what sites are selling for that are comparable to your site.

I would use the valuation tools with a grain of salt. Another way to find how much is your website worth is to use http://www.estimix.com. It provides competitive analysis for free.

Hi! Another way to find how much is your website worth is to use <a

Case is different. If valuations where easy we would not have a financial crisis.

These tools are nice gadgets but they don't tell you much. the valuation of an object (company, painting website e.g.) are best done by humans using models they can understand and manipulate.
